Traveling athletes pay €25 per night for maintenance costs. Additionally, there is a small mandatory management fee and travel insurance if deemed necessary. EXAMPLE: Maria's parents send her for 15 days, 14 nights, to a host family in Ireland to play soccer at a local club's camp. The parents will have to pay for maintenance costs: 14 nights * €25/night = €350. This price does not include the management fee or the camp entry registration fee (if applicable).
In this case, there are two options: the money can be used to book another Sportyga experience, or a full refund can be requested. We work to minimize such cases, but it is beyond our control. As for the traveling athlete, they can leave a review, and Sportyga will take the appropriate measures.
Yes, of course. We don't like cancellations, but we understand that there may be valid reasons. Keep in mind that the host family is waiting for you and may have incurred expenses in addition to blocking their calendar for you. Therefore, if you cancel with more than one week's notice, you won't be charged anything. However, if you cancel your visit with less than one week's notice, you will be penalized with a 15% deduction from the Maintenance Fee and the Management Fee, regardless of whether you have taken out insurance or not.
If the athlete is hosted for the same number of nights they previously hosted, they won't have to pay a maintenance fee, only the management fee needs to be paid. If the nights are more than what was previously hosted, the athlete will only have to pay for the extra nights and the management fee for the total number of nights.
If the nights as a traveler are fewer than as a host family, no maintenance fee will be charged, as the voucher can be used, and only the management fee needs to be paid. The remaining nights can be redeemed or monetized within a maximum period of 2 years from the time they were generated.

It's very simple. First, you need to register, then search for a host family associated with the chosen sport and available dates. Finally, you just need to send a hosting request to that family. The host family will have 48 hours to accept your request. During that time, you can ask any questions to the host family via our internal messaging system.
Yes, all applications to become a host family are personally reviewed by the Sportyga staff to assess their final approval.

The voucher can be redeemed from the day after the end of the hosting, either to book another stay or through a bank transfer. The maximum time for redemption is 2 years.
If you are interested in hosting someone for an entire school year, you must register as a host family, indicate your availability for a school year, and then contact us directly (info@sportyga.com) to study and manage the request. We have many athletes willing to travel for a full school year.

Our professional team works to facilitate the exchanges, but canceling a stay is not within our control. If the traveling athlete cancels with more than one week's notice before arrival, we won't be entitled to any compensation as a host family. However, if the cancellation occurs with less than one week's notice, we will receive a 15% deduction from the previously agreed Maintenance Fee.
Our goal is to bring athletes from around the world together. We understand that unforeseen circumstances may lead to cancellations. However, we believe that we should notify the athlete as soon as possible and provide adequate explanations. Depending on the timing of the cancellation and the provided explanations, we may assess the situation and take necessary measures to prevent such incidents in the future.

First, you need to register on the platform, then enter the dates of the event, and finally, communicate it to the host families associated with that event, encouraging them to register on Sportyga. From there, all Sportyga families will be able to see that there is a sports event in your city with host families willing to accommodate other athletes.
In general, yes. We also have an agreement with Europ Assistance, and all athletes have the option to manage their insurance through us.
